Higher Education
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
The newest upcoming addition to the North Carolina A&T main campus is the Bluford St. Student Residence, located at the intersection of Bluford Street and Stewart Street in Greensboro, NC. This new dormitory includes the construction of a new 5-story, 429 bed facility that is approximately 155,200 sf and consists of 1-, 2- & 4-Bedroom Suites. There will also be various offices, gaming rooms, multipurpose, vending, laundry, and additional parking. CATE Services is providing construction services in conjunction with Samet Corporation.
Saint Augustine’s University
Saint Augustine’s University is undergoing upgrades and renovations throughout their campus. CATE Services is the project manager responsible for renovations for Saint Augustine’s dormitory and academic administration offices. In addition, CATE Services is performing upfits for their classrooms and offices, providing support spaces, as well as lighting upgrades and repairs.
Education
Durham Public Schools
Durham Public Schools in the 9th largest school district in North Carolina and was rewarded a multi-million-dollar bond in 2022 for school improvements. CATE Services is the program manager responsible for planning, design, and completion of their various projects. Services include overseeing district wide water fountain replacements, outdoor learning classrooms, and HVAC repair and replacement.
Warren County Public Schools
Warren County Schools is the recipient of 2021-2022 North Carolina Academic Achievement Award and has identified capital projects and other special fund projects for which CATE Services is providing project management staff augmentation services. Project work is to include interior painting of high schools and middle schools, evaluation and planning the track replacement, field house renovation, and construction of a fitness center.
Medical
Cape Fear Valley Health System
Cape Fear Valley Health has grown into North Carolina’s 8th largest health system and has been the preferred healthcare provider for thousands of families for exceptional healthcare in Fayetteville, NC and surrounding areas. CATE Services is managing interior upfits for various Cape Fear Valley Hospital locations including Hoke Hospital, the Health Pavilion North, and several medical clinics. These projects include medical office suite upfits, new electrical and plumbing renovations in the laboratory, and water fountain replacement. Additionally, the scope includes the construction of a new Transition Care Unit and new operating door installations.
Municipal
North Carolina Museum of Art Amphitheater Refacing
CATE Services conducted a full refacing of the outdoor amphitheater numbering system. This renovation consisted of painting and numbering of the seating, steps, walkways, and signage.
Windsor Chavis Community Center at Nocho Park
The existing recreational center on Benbow St and the library across the street are being demolished for the new and improved Windsor Chavis Community Center at Nocho Park, a structural steel framed 4-story recreational center with unique elevations. It will include an indoor pool, basketball courts, gym, library, and lots of collaborative spaces both in and outdoors. CATE Services is providing construction services in conjunction with Samet Corporation.
Maintenance
RTI International
RTI is a well-known nonprofit organization headquartered in the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. CATE Services provides professional services for RTI that includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services to maintain their facility.
