The project involves the relocation of Red Hat Amphitheatre and the expansion of the Raleigh Convention Center that is currently a three-level, 500,000 square foot building containing a 150,000-square-foot exhibit hall, twenty meeting rooms and a 32,000-square-foot ballroom.
The Raleigh Convention Center will remain in operation during construction. Considerations for phasing and timing of expansion improvements will be important to minimize impacts on business operations. Red Hat Amphitheater will also remain in operation during regular season to minimize impacts on operations and program offerings.
